bad connection = loss why????

Very frequently, people won't resign. They just leave the game, never coming back. I don't like it really much, for it is told I've won the game because I claimed victory, but actually the opponent has just been to lazy to hit the resign button. And that is why we need the possibility to claim victories plus we maybe need some education etc. so that people beginn to understand there actually exists a resign button and their opponents would be very happy if they push it instead of just throwing the pc out of the window.
It is true as well, that you should not be too quick claiming a victory, if you are not sure, what is the issue. I normally wait for about 30 seconds, sometimes people reconnect and play on, sometimes it happens several times in a single game. We can play people from all over the world with all kinds of internet connections, it's no big surprise some will face connection issues. It's about fairness; it's a good thought to increase the time before the claim the victory button appears. Would appreciate that, even if I have fortunately never lost to connection problems.
Bad connection = Loss is the way it should be.
Having a good connection is a basic requirement for playing chess online.
It is your responsibility.
IMHO, Lichess shouldn't penalize your opponent for your failure to do that.
