According to Rating Stats there are:
en.lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/classical
48,370 Classical players this week.
en.lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/blitz
49,464 Blitz players this week.
en.lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/bullet
18,695 Bullet players this week.
So, most players do not play bullet (2+1 and faster). I believe even fewer play HyperBullet (0.5+0).
What is the point to create a 24 hour tournament under a time control which most players do not play?
It is obvious that from the get go, such a tournament is doomed to fail because of lack of participants!
