I thought Hikaru wasn't allowed to use his real name and identity on other sites...

As far as I remember GM Hikaru was a partner of chess.com and he wasn't allowed to play on other sites unless he was anonymous. Did something change here?

Apologies in advance if this is considered an invasion of privacy... just curious because he was streaming himself playing in Agad's tournament.

I don't know the exact terms of their agreement, but I would guess that playing in one tournament, especially when the tournament was that popular and unique, would not get him in trouble.

I don't know anything about the details of Hikaru's connection with Chess.com. But if you think that's all there was, you should see his match with PenguinGM, where he keeps praising Lichess' software as much faster. He said things like, basically, "on chess.com we would have about 20 seconds left, while on here we have 45-50 seconds left."

Contracts do expire.

I would say considering he is the golden child on chess.com, there probably isn't much they could/would do about it anyway. Not like he needs that contract these days anyway considering twitch/tsm.

His twitch stream mentioned that chess.com made an explicit exception only for this tournament.

Hikaru is always busy praising chess.com, and comes here only for money.

He can also play here while he isn't streaming. His account doesn't directly state he is Hikaru. Danya does it all the time on RebeccaHarris.
