Why was 40. b5 an inaccuracy?!

Not really. I you did even a single mistake in moving the king away, White can move in for pawn promotion. However, people aren't patient enough to wait for blunders.
computers get bored of games like that too.
Computers(stockfish, I think) fail to see absolute draw positions and disregard material advantage.

What I mean is, in the endgame, when you got a material advantage computer will claim that you are winning even if there is no way to make any advances(to attack).
@razletime, I don't think blunders are considered when calculating the strength of a position. It's based on the strongest line possible, which in this case was a draw.

@Drhack the problem is they often don't accept a draw before the last pawns have met. Like razeltime, they just keep playing and hoping for a blunder.

@nobody47 The computer can normally tell when a position is drawn regardless of material.

nah max, it is a ply thing. the computer can't go deep enough after all the king maneuvering... so my comment is funny and true! :D
@max123 I will repeat myself. I am saying that computer can't see a draw, when there is no way to advance your king, bishop etc.
#1 because the evaluation function of stockfish apparently gives a +1.1 when white has a protected past pawn and black's pawn majority is blockaded :)
Basically it is a horizon issue, if stockfish had the time to calculate 50 moves deep she would give ev=0.00.
And of course, stockfish cannot understand abstract concepts such as" the white king has no entry points"
