Hi,
What's the ettiquette regarding take-backs? Someone just requested one in a Blitz game, where they blundered their Queen. To my mind, they made a mistake a paid the price. Allowing a take-back seems a bit wrong somehow; like if you make an error, you need to reap the consequences and learn and move on (and hopefully improve and not be so inclined to make the same mistake again).
I'm wondered though; what's the common view here on take-backs? Do you allow them? If so, under what conditions? I'm thinking, if someone is playing on a mobile device, and they intend to move a piece to a specific square, but their finger slips; I think then I'd allow a take-back, but how would you know that's what happened?
Thanks!
