Black Four Times In A Row

I got white 7 times in a row in the Fine Arena played on 6/11/15
You know, this is getting old now. I've played 9 games on the site - all with "random" side chosen - and I've been black 8 times. Is there a bug? A glitch? Hard to believe that more than one of us have gone on runs of 7, 8 + games in a row with one color. I've never experienced or seen anything like that on any other site.
#12 I'll ask on freenode IRC if anyone knows. To clarify, you or your opponents never aborted any games (which wouldn't show in your game history), correct?
From some of the posts I have seen noc420 , it might be karma biting yer bum.
#12, honestly mate it's just not your day. You can inspect the source code, it really is is a 50/50 coin flip. Nothing shady going on.

Don't worry. If normal distributions are to be believed, you will play white and black a roughly equal amount over a large volume of games.
#12 states that he received 8 blacks in 9 games.

Here's a fun question: How many players must play 9 games in order for it to be more likely than not that at least one receives as least 8 blacks?

(Note: this is not a fun question for all personality types.)
#12 That actually happened to me too! I got black in 8 out of my first 8 games, and only in game 9 did I get white.

#16: It's clearly just 2 players, as they can just keep on playing 9 games against each other, and eventually, it'll become more likely than not that one of them gets eight blacks.

Actual Solution: The probability of a person getting at least 8 blacks is 9C8*(1/2)^9 + 9C9*(1/2)^9 = 10/512 = 5/256.
The probability of no such person getting 8 blacks is 1-(5/256) = 251/256. Since probabilities multiply with more matchups, and we want there to be a probability of less than 1/2 that nobody receives at least 8 blacks, we get the equation (251/256)^n < 1/2, where n is the number of games. Using a calculator, we find that this is approximately 35.141422729671081370524463417837. Since each game has two players, we must multiply this by 2, to get the answer of 70.282845459342162741048926835674. I need to figure out how to get 0.282845459342162741048926835674 players.
This is how FICS does it (see below). It's not random but it's fair:
The server software uses your history (and your opponent's) to determine who
will get White. Starting from the bottom, for each entry we compare the
colour you had and the one your opponent had. If they match, we look at the
next entry. If they don't match we swap them and that is your colour for this
game. If there are fewer than 10 entries for one player we assume the missing
colour is the opposite of the one we know about. If they both run out
together, or all 10 entries match, the colour is randomly chosen.
