Hola, ayer se cayó el servidor de lichess por muchas horas. Yo llevaba unas partidas por correspondencia con ventaja. Me quedé hasta medianoche a ver si la conexión se reestablecía y nada, pues resulta que hoy muy temprano me conecto y me consigo con que las partidas las tengo perdidas por tiempo. Insólito.

I coudn't access lichess properly yesterday either. I could only play one match but then the connection was lost, there were some error messages appearing.

The same thing happened to one the top players in yesterday's 24hour blitz marathon. He was commenting Live, too. Luckily, he was able to retain his position without playing for the last several hours. He is the #3.
Lichess was down for me for most of the day yday as well. I was going to finish the marathon tournament.
This has been happening frequently. A friend of mine switched to chess.com. I'm assuming more will make the switch as well, if it continues to be unstable. Bummer, cause I love the functionality of this site. Great site :-(
You will find the same problems there, an instability in Live games everyone on chess.com complains about.
It is constant on chess.com, whereas here it affects us mainly on huge affluence days like Saturday's Marathon.
After playing on lichess, you probably will hate seeing all the ads on your pages at chess.com, and start paying to be rid of them. Then server weaknesses will hit you much worse :) !

#8, lol, not really. Chess.com is much less down than Lichess.org, which is obvious since they probably have more money and better servers or something like that.
You can also install adblocker and then there are also no ads on chess.com. Preferences about lichess or chess.com are totally somewhere else (fast server for bullet etc).

#9: I played exclusively on chess.com for 4 years as diamond and I can assure you the site was down very often, and also for longer periods of time (several hours for the whole site). People complained a lot. It was also unreliable for blitz and bullet games.
