I know it's sort of a straightforward variant.
But are there general strategies that apply?
To be successful as the horde, you'll need to make and reinforce a pawn chain diagonally. There isn't time to advance pawns toward both corners.
1. Get the winning initiative, and maintain it all the way to victory.
2. Outsmart your opponent, causing them to lose.

I had no other source to learn horde and it helped me to outsmart the ChessWhiz himself at least once. :-D
