Strategy for Horde chess?

I know it's sort of a straightforward variant.

But are there general strategies that apply?

To be successful as the horde, you'll need to make and reinforce a pawn chain diagonally. There isn't time to advance pawns toward both corners.

1. Get the winning initiative, and maintain it all the way to victory.

2. Outsmart your opponent, causing them to lose.

Outsmart your opponent! That's the key I've been missing!

I'm no grandmaster, but you might be able to pick up a few tips on ChessWhiz TV. My current rank is 32nd on Lichess Horde.

Yes your videos are great to pick up the game quite fast.
I had no other source to learn horde and it helped me to outsmart the ChessWhiz himself at least once. :-D
Be careful who you teach. Even the zerg are watching. Aaaaaah! ;-)
