The Mysterious Kid Episode 6: The Kid’s Run

The kid ran through the forest he and the woman had crossed earlier, and arrived at the lake. There, the kid put a hand in his pocket, and drew out a Mars Bar. The same Mars Bar he had picked up in the cupboard earlier. The kid threw the Mars Bar into the lake. Energy was cursing through him, inside him. He felt a burnt of anger for his father as he had never felt before, and he shouted, “You won’t meet the same end as me!”
And he jumped in the lake and swam. He didn’t swim to get his Mars Bar, no. He had made up his mind to leave it there. He swam across the lake, ignoring the boat. At last he reached the black mass at the end of it.
The kid knocked the black mass twice. The black mass suddenly resolved into a clearly shaped house.
“Who is it?” Asked a woman’s voice.
“It is your son, Rog,” the kid replied, bowing.
The door opened, and a very pretty old woman stood aside to let the kid in and said, “I expected you to be here sooner than this.”
“Yes, mother,” the kid said, sinking into a very low bow, “Forgive young son and his misbehavior.”
“And that shall be so,” replied the mother, motioning him to get inside.
The room was slightly cramped, everything was old. The small table looked like it was going to fall, the chairs looked about to collapse. Only a single golden closet stood peculiar against shabby everything else. A bird tweeted from inside a cage, and she too, looked old indeed.
“What have you done again to offend your royal father?” Asked the kid’s mother.
“I misbehaved,” said the kid simply, “But I assure you, mother, I shall not do so again.”
At that precise moment, the door banged open, and a figure stormed in.
